17 SIMI men acquitted by Hubbali court

terThe 1st Additional Magistrate court in Hubbali has acquitted 17 suspected SIMI activitsts in connection with various cases of terror.

The police had arrested Safdhar Hussain Nagori, several others in connection with terrorist activities in Hubli in the year 2008.

Gajendra Singh: A life that could have been easily saved

gajCould Gajendra Singh have been saved? Going by the report submitted by the Delhi police it become amply clear that Singh could have easily been saved had there not been interference and instigation.
Shockingly, the report also makes a mention of how the Delhi government tried and stopped the post mortem of Singh.

Further, the report also speaks about how the venue of the rally was not changed despite a clear cut instruction and request by the police to do so.

teestaIs analyzing mobile call details the prerogative of anyone and everyone. Does Ford Foundation approve of the Sabrang Trust’s claims that the latter had analysed 5 lakh mobile calls?

Checking mobile calls and analyzing them is the job of the Intelligence Bureau and also the police with specific permission from the Home Ministry as per the Supreme Court in the 1997 verdict of PUCL vs the Union of India.

Saradha scam: TMC MP Mithun Chakraborty gets clean chit

mithun1In a major reprieve for Mithun Chakraborty, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has given him a clean chit.
Actor Aparna Sen who was also questioned in connection with the scam too was given a clean chit by the CBI.

The Enforcement Directorate had questioned Mithun after it was found that he had received a payment of Rs 1.76 crore for hosting a chat show on politics on the Channel 10.
