Jayalalithaa case: Reject appeal, uphold conviction, says Karnataka govt

The Karnataka state government has questioned the basic validity of the appeal filed by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate assets case.

The Karnataka government which filed an 18 page written submission before the High Court said that the appeal should be dismissed on the ground that the accused did not bother making the state a party.
